Hello

Qiyao Xie is a curious individual with a passion for people. She is an interactive engineer, designer, and user experience researcher for games and new media. 

She is a first year graduate student in USC’s Interactive Media and Games program.  She is originally from China, with a background in interaction design.

She wants to experiment with the design of technology-based interactions and experiences as she is very dedicated to pursuing a career in interactive entertainment. Regarding the game's existence as an amalgam of many forms of traditional art forms, she is interested in how powerfully interaction in the game can affect players on an emotional level and become one art form in its own right.

She had experiences in creating Newsgame in a newspaper office to increase the interactivity and creativity of journalism. Her work focused primarily on mobile media and interactive storytelling.
